Lady Supreme: A Diana Ross Experience
Deanna Carroll is a renowned singer/songwriter with a rich soulful voice and dynamic stage presence. She has recorded vocals for jazz saxophonist Paula Atherton and British singer Joss Stone, been on live TV performances backing Vitamin C and sung back-up for Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Little Anthony and Darlene Love. She also fronts her own funk dance band, Jetstream, is part of The Chiclettes (a tribute group to female artists through the decades) and is a backing vocalist for Bobby Wilson in his tribute to his late father, Jackie Wilson.
Diana Ross has withstood the test of time as a performer with a career that spans more than four decades. She has won several major awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 as part of the Supremes.
During the COVID Epidemic, Deanna debuted her new project Lady Supreme: a Diana Ross Experience. She wanted another vehicle as an entertainer and decided upon a tribute show. She always loved and admired Diana Ross and felt that it made sense to choose her to tribute although fully recognizing the challenge to imitate such a legend and diva. However, Deanna was up for it.
Lady Supreme: A Diana Ross Experience is the ultimate tribute to the life and work of the legendary Ms. Ross. Deanna performs all of Diana’s biggest hits, including Endless Love, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, Touch Me in The Morning, Do You Know Where You’re Going To, I’m Coming Out and so many more! Her show includes stories and costumes handmade by Ms. Carroll and is backed by an eight-piece band.
With many venues still closed at the beginning of 2021, Deanna’s first performance was on a streaming platform. The show was just Deanna with tracks and costumes streaming live from a stage and studio she erected in her home. The first show with the full band came later in 2021 to a standing room only performance at The Living Room in Bethpage, New York.
